Michael Gauthier, Ph.D.; Chief Scientist

Dr. Michael Gauthier is an expert in the field of boundary layer meteorology and big-data analytics, with more than 23 years of experience as an operational meteorologist, scientific innovator, and technical leader. He has a proven record of successful program initiation and development, strategic planning, team/partnership building, human capital management, and organizational change management. Dr. Gauthier has extensive experience in the use of traditional and non-traditional technologies to provide tailored decision support services to stakeholders and decision makers across the spectrum of civil and military operations. He leverages expertise in the areas of algorithm and prototype development to enable the exploitation of ground, air, and space-based remote, and in-situ, sensing technologies, placing agile solutions quickly into the hands of users and operators to enhance public safety and resource protection. Dr. Gauthier has a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, along with a Masters in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University.
